Peter Theodore Moerdyk was a resident of Zeeland and president and owner of the Ted and Ed Clothing Company located on Main Street. After the Store's demise in the mid 1930s, Moerdyk did research for the WPA Historical Records Survey Project which was headed locally by Willard C. Wichers. Moerdyk then worked for the Netherlands Museum in various capacities until his death in the early 1960s. From the description of Papers, 1800-1987.
